I AM writing this in the hope that the driver of NRB 18490 (a black golf with gold mags), will read it and change his way of behaving on the road.
On two occasions I observed your reckless driving.
At the Brackenham robot you stand on the lane turning right towards Aquadene, you rev and inch forward, but when the green arrow comes on you drive straight and onto Alumina Alee.
On the morning of 25 January you did the same again, and you weaved carelessly in between cars on Alumina Alee so that you can be at least two seconds ahead.
At the robot at Reclamation you saw a few cars in the lane that turn right towards Bell and Ritchie Ford, so you decided you would keep left as if going towards ZCBF, but at the yield sign you made an illegal U-turn. This just so you can beat the cars waiting for the robot to turn green on the very same road.
Obviously you like taking shortcuts, you are competitive with a desire for thrills, you like beating the odds and defying laws, basically you have no ‘on and off’ button on your conscience.
What do you achieve by driving in such a manner?
Are you adding any value to your life or others by doing such stupid things on the road?
There are so many people who would have loved to spend more time on earth, but passed on in senseless accidents caused by people such as you.
If yours isn’t important to you, then what about the lives of innocent road users who do obey the laws and wait their turn?
Another question – who are those parents who allow their children to travel in your car?
Do they know that they are placing their children’s lives in the hands of a reckless driver as yourself?
I request law enforcement officials to please keep an eye out for this vehicle and re-test this young boy. He doesn’t seem to know road signs and it could save a life.
